Departmental Activities and Student Achievements:

Department of Chemistry has seen the maximum number of enrollments for the Final Year since its inception in 2014-15.

Highly Motivated, Committed and Qualified Staff and their contributions can be easily understood from the results of final year students. [ Batch wise Details]

Students are constantly encouraged to participate in various Aptitude Tests and extra-curricular activities.

1. BARC Conducted Chemistry Aptitude test 3 Students in first 100
2. Third Year and Second Year Students were trained in giving presentations and recording the same Students are being trained in making use of ICT tools
3. Third Year Students Performed Project Based on Preparation of dye and Using the same to dye different cloth materials Students learned Tie and Dye Method of designs
4. Second Year Students Performed Project Based on Analysis of Water from different sources Students learned how to analyze quality of the water used for drinking and cleaning purposes
5. Visit to Center of Excellence Vapi Students got an opportunity to observe professionally managed Public Laboaratory and Advanced instruments like NMR, TGA, DTA, HPTLC, HPLC, GC, Particle Analyzers etc.
6. Five different exhibits were presented in the Science Exhibition Students learned how to present and explain their exhibits
7. Webinar entitled- Post Covid 19: Dimensions of Science Resource person Dr. Gomathi Shridhar ( Associate Profesor) provided the participants orientation regarding the skills required for career in Science and the areas of opportunities available like: Material Sciences, Cleaner energy sources , chemical industries , food testing, food processing and packaging, professional laboratories, quality assurance , scientific communication etc Students can utilize the immense opportunities available in the field of basic sciences.
